Minas Gerais Music Forum

The Music Forum of Minas Gerais is a civil society network that brings together artists, producers, and collectives to strengthen the music industry in the state. Operating through a shared management model with public authorities, it partnered with the State Department of Culture to create the Música Minas Program, which promotes and disseminates music from Minas Gerais locally, nationally, and internationally through open calls, cultural exchanges, fairs, catalogs, and other initiatives for support and visibility.

The Funalfa (Alfredo Ferreira Lage Cultural Foundation) is the institution responsible for managing the cultural policy of Juiz de Fora (MG), Brazil. Linked to the Municipal Government, the Foundation works to promote artistic production, preserve cultural heritage, organize cultural events, and train cultural agents. Through public calls, programs, and educational initiatives, Funalfa fosters cultural diversity and strengthens the local artistic scene across multiple fields - music, theater, dance, literature, audiovisual arts, and visual arts.
