A singer-songwriter from southern Minas Gerais, Ceumar moved to Belo Horizonte at 17
to refine her instrumental skills through guitar studies, launching her professional career.
Renowned for her vocals, her debut album, Dindinha (1999), produced by Zeca Baleiro, brought her national recognition, while subsequent albums established her as a songwriter. From 2009 to 2016, based in the Netherlands, she recorded Live in Amsterdam (2010) with Mike del Ferro Trio and toured across Belgium, Germany,Hungary, and Brazil. Returning to her home country in 2019, she toured 42 cities with SESC Nacional's Sonora Brasil exhibition, alongside Cátia de França and Déa Trancoso.
In celebration of her 35-year career, which to date includes a discography of eight albums, she performed in several Brazilian cities through the Caixa Cultural and Funarte Pixinguinha circuits (2024-2025). In 2025, Ceumar will tour Spain and Portugal and participate in the Cena Lusófona artistic residency.
