Angharad Jenkins is a bi-lingual singer, songwriter, fiddle-player, and creative collaborator from Swansea, Wales. Even though her background is in traditional Welsh folk music, she admits to having a ‘split musical personality’ and has been described a ‘musical chameleon.’ She operates mostly in the folk and roots worlds, exploring language and identity through collaborations with her long-standing musical companion Patrick Rimes of Calan, jazz pianist Huw Warren and her mother, harpist Delyth Jenkins. More recently, she launched a solo ‘pop’ project – ANGHARAD – exploring womanhood, motherhood, and our relationship with time. Her debut solo album ‘Motherland’ was nominated for the 2024 Welsh Music Prize.
