Jamila & The Other Heroes

Salam, I'm Jamila, a diasporic Palestinian musician and also I work as ANTI-RACISM trainer, consulting cultural organizations, festivals & clubs around AWARENESS, EMPOWERMENT & DIVERSITY. I especially work around topics of Anti-Palestinian racism and antisemitism to not be played out against each other, and supporting artists and cultural actors affected by discrimination.

Besides that I’ve been touring internationally with my Berlin based band from manywhere. We are playing PSYCHEDELIC DESERT ROCK with a message of LIBERATION and EMPOWERMENT in Arabic and English. While my storytelling relates a lot to personal stories of my family and my experiences in Palestine, it also unites the audience in a universal way to strive for our collective liberation on a joyful, danceable sound carpet.
