Munster Records is an independent record label founded in the late 1980s, with a presence in major music markets—the United States, the United Kingdom, the European Union, Latin America, and Japan—thanks to its well-established global distribution network.

Its extensive catalog focuses primarily on genres such as punk, garage, psychedelia, and their many related subgenres. Among its releases, the complete discography of the 1960s Peruvian band Los Saicos, the reissues of albums by the seminal punk group Eskorbuto, and the recovery of historic recordings by local artists such as Siniestro Total, Décima Víctima, and Pau Riba have all received especially strong critical acclaim.

In 2002, Vampisoul was created as a division dedicated to unearthing recordings of Latin, Brazilian, jazz, and soul music, among others. It has become a global reference for reissues of historic albums from Colombia, Peru, Venezuela, and Brazil. Particularly well received have been the recovered albums by Colombian duo Elia y Elizabeth, compilations focused on cumbia, and the rediscovery of recordings from Peru’s legendary label MAG.

From time to time, both Munster and Vampisoul release new recordings by active contemporary artists. Examples include Frente Cumbiero, Los Pirañas, Exnovios, Money Chicha, Wau y los Arrrghs!!!, among many others.

With nearly a thousand releases under their belt, Munster and Vampisoul have established themselves globally as synonymous with quality and dedication in the revival of forgotten recordings.
