Alassane Badboy & The Conquerors

''This project is part of my album, which was originally meant to be released two years ago. Unfortunately, we lost all the projects in a fire at the studio in Senegal. However, I am now bringing you some tracks that I was able to recover from an old hard drive—pieces that evoke the same emotions I experience and share with you on stage.
YEUK YEUK is a reflection of emotions, a culmination of years of personal experiences and the feelings of those around me. This project is inspired by the journey I have shared with the people who have supported me, as well as the energy I have gathered from my encounters over the years—starting with my family, friends, collaborators, and the musicians who accompany me both in live performances and studio sessions.
The YEUK YEUK project is a solo album that began with DJ Crazy (Saliou Dieng) at the Chambre 9 Recordz studio, under the artistic direction of Viking Musik Group, of which I am a founding member, composer, author, performer, and topliner.
The album’s title reflects the essence of life—freedom. Freedom to express emotions, to share joy, sadness, pride, self-love, and the pursuit of dreams despite obstacles. At its core, this project is about love, the central theme conveyed through melancholic yet liberating, joyful, and uplifting melodies infused with the rhythms of Africa—made accessible to the world through collective effort and collaboration.
Ultimately, YEUK YEUK is also my boat of conquerors—a vessel for traveling through human emotions, touching hearts along the way.
It is an honor for me to share this journey with you.
JEREJEF. ''
