Welton Nadai was born in Rio Claro, São Paulo, Brazil, in 1983. From his teenage years, he developed a passion for classical guitar, which led him to study at the Conservatory of Tatuí. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Music from UNINCOR and a postgraduate degree in Art and Education from Claretianas University. His musical journey has been strongly influenced by guitarist Pedro Cameron, with whom he maintains an artistic partnership and to whom he attributes much of his formation.
In 2012, he released the album *Violões Artes Trio* alongside Pedro Cameron and Lucas Penteado. As a producer, he led the album *O Violão Bem Temperado* (2018) by the Brasilis Guitar Duo. In 2019, he launched the EP *Circuito do Violão*, in collaboration with the Orquestra de Violões and Violões Artes Trio. The following year, he produced the web series *Violão na Escola*, consisting of 50 episodes dedicated to promoting the guitar within educational environments.
In 2024, he released the compilation *Violões Artes Trio*, bringing together recordings made over the group’s 15-year trajectory. In 2025, he presented three new projects: *Suíte Jobim*, featuring guitar reinterpretations of works by the iconic Brazilian composer; the EP *Entardecer*, a tribute to the Brazilian popular songbook, including pieces such as *Berceuse* (Brahms), *Assum Preto* (Luiz Gonzaga), *Casa de Caboclo* (Hekel Tavares), *Gente Humilde* (Garoto), *Tristeza do Jeca* (Angelino de Oliveira), and *Carinhoso* (Pixinguinha); and the EP *Terça de Manhã*, with new recordings by the Violões Artes Trio, including works by Mozart, Offenbach, and the traditional Andalusian folk song *El Vito*.
Alongside his ensemble work, Welton Nadai maintains an active career as a soloist, performing in various cultural venues. He also runs a YouTube channel where he shares performances, behind-the-scenes content, and reflections on the world of guitar and Brazilian instrumental music.
