Sutartronica is a Lithuanian music project that reimagines ancient polyphonic folk songs by merging them with modern electronic genres. Founded by producer/musician Victor Diawara and folklorist/vocalist Laurita Peleniūtė, the project creates a sound that is at once hypnotic and innovative, bridging tradition with contemporary rhythms. Known for captivating live shows, Sutartronica has drawn attention both locally and internationally, with performances that immerse audiences in a unique cultural experience. With a lineup of vocalists and musicians who blend traditional harmonies with electronic beats, the group embodies a fresh take on Lithuania’s rich heritage, appealing to world music and electronic music audiences alike.

Sutartinės, derived from the Lithuanian word sutarti (meaning “to be in concord”), are an ancient form of Lithuanian polyphonic music typically performed by female singers. Recognized by UNESCO as part of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity since 2010, sutartinės are characterized by their distinct melodies and themes that reflect traditional rituals, daily life, and history, offering listeners a deep connection to Lithuania’s cultural past.
