Marco Aurélio Marinho aka DJ MAM has been Djing for the past 13 years but was only by the year 2012 that the artist released its first authorial album “Sotaque Carregado” ( “Accent loaded), a round-up of songs inspired by his travels throughout Brazil , diverse and restless , urban and rural. From the sounds of the beaches of the northeast to the hills of Rio de Janeiro , the human types in all their splendid wealth set the tone of the album’s voices , represented by artists like Valdi Afonjah, Renata Rosa, BNegão and MAM himself , among other collaborators .

“Sotaque Carregado”, the album, was a finalist in the Brazilian Music Award in 2013 in the category Electronic and had its tracks included on compilations, highlighting " Rolê : New Sounds of Brazil " and " New Sounds 2013," by Songlines Magazine. In September 2015, the album went to the top 20 of the World Music Charts Europe.

An electronic aspect, also very present in the original, emerges with the name “Sotaque Recarregado” ( Accent Recharged) , reinventing itself while it also affirms the concept pursued by the author. This time, MAM panned producers around Brazil to remix the entire album, bringing an unexpected freshness , keeping firm to several possible musical accents of contemporary Brazil. The importance of this collection goes beyond the songs and highlights an unknown scene as strong as the Brazilian mainstream: a collective of producers / DJs actively involved in their regions, committed to developing new paradigms of what is music for the dance floor, a scene that flourished with the resulting possibilities of new domestic technologies that transformed living rooms in studios.

The multi instrumentalist Furmiga Dub, master of the bass lines, was called from Paraiba and on the track “Colorissom” has crossed the northeast grooves with dub step resulting on fatal effect on any sort of audience. Equally unique is the track " Porção do Amor” (“ Love Portion”) a samba reggae that has the presence of Mauro Telefunksoul and André T , the architects behind the Bahia Bass scene. Also from Salvador, Raiz Selector - “ Eu to com fome” ( "I 'm hungry " ) and Lucio K reinventing “Pra balancar a nega” (“To Swing the Nega “) , a hedonistic , tropical and sexy celebration as well as the frisky "Strip Cabocla “, by the duo from Pará: Luan Rodrigues and Waldo squash, one of the most important current tecnobrega producer, from the outskirts of Belem , who managed to project his Gang Electro beyond the boundaries of the genre.

The party do not stop and in its nomad manner that is, continues with DJ Incidental from Pernambuco, DJ Tide from Sao Paulo: one of the members of the popular party “Mel”, mixing
"Cuz Cuz de Canô " and the international presence of Kenneth Bager from Denmark.
Engaging the south of the country, the Gauchos of Ccoma developed “Sambarimbó”.
In a completely different style comes DeepLick from São Paulo - known for remixes of MPB stars - mixed " Yemanja Carioca ". Complementing the team two seminal producers of brazilian electronic scene: DJ Patife for "Ogun Oni Irê“ and Marcelinho da Lua , the latter in partnership with Bruno TL in "Coco de Itaparica".

Undoubtedly, the compilation holds a fundamental key to an in-depth understanding of what inspire festivals, parties, dances and laughs in the starry nights inside Brazil .
