“Boundless Wildness” – Sauljaljui is a renowned Indigenous vocalist from southern Taiwan, celebrated for her soulful interpretations of traditional Paiwan melodies and Hengchun folk songs.

In 2025, her self-produced album VAIVAIK won Best Indigenous Language Album at the Golden Melody Awards (GMA), while the track “Dipin Kari Tang” also received the award for Best Arrangement.

Accompanied by the yueqin (moon lute), Sauljaljui masterfully blends ancient sounds with global musical influences, creating a distinctive style centered around her captivating voice. Guided by her philosophy, “Finding a Way Home Through Music,” she continues to share the spirit of her culture on global stages.

She has performed at leading festivals including Rainforest World Music Festival (MY), Global Toronto (CA), and Tallinn Music Week (EE). In summer 2024, she toured Europe, appearing at Colours of Ostrava (CZ), WOMAD Festival (UK), and Sfinks Mixed (BE). Her momentum continued in 2025 with performances at FAI (Folk Alliance International) and WOMADelaide (AU) — further carrying the wild, resonant spirit of Paiwan culture as a cultural ambassador from Taiwan.
