Sara Cruz releases her debut album ‘Fourteen Forty-Five’

Sara Cruz releases her debut album ‘Fourteen Forty-Five’ this Friday, October 18. The album is available on all digital platforms and in stores as a special edition on 180-gram pearl white vinyl.

As an Azorean born and raised in the middle of the Atlantic, between Europe and North America, Sara Cruz reveals her debut album, Fourteen Forty-Five. The artist incorporates into her work the rich influence of American folk, which, intertwined with pop and singer-songwriter elements, gives the album a contemporary, international, and engaging sound while maintaining her roots and origins in her compositions.

Fourteen Forty-Five refers to the approximate distance, in kilometers, that separates Ponta Delgada, the artist’s hometown, from Lisbon, the city where she has been living for the past few years and where this album took shape. This number is more than a geographical measure; it reflects the duality between the two territories and the artist’s journey, who has split her life between these two cities and realities, both rich in emotional experiences.

Produced by fellow Azorean Cristóvam, Fourteen Forty-Five is a meticulously crafted work where Sara Cruz’s songs and Cristóvam’s production come together to create a striking and authentic album. Each track on this album reflects how Sara Cruz has lived and felt her life between the Atlantic and the world, something that can be heard in the singles already released by the singer: “Day or Two,” “Faithful,” “Grass Is Greener,” “Plot Holes,” and “The Show.” This first edition will be available on all digital platforms as well as in a special vinyl edition (180 grams, pearl white).

“Fourteen Forty-Five has become the flagship number of this phase of my existence. It is a representative number of the context of my life over the past few years, a stamp. It is between Lisbon and Ponta Delgada that I have been living for the past nearly three years, and that has always had a huge influence on how I exist”. Sara Cruz
