Outlet Drift is a three-piece rock band from Taiwan, known for their immersive blend of psychedelic, experimental, and funk rock rooted in Indigenous Amis culture. Their sound flows between explosive energy and meditative calm, inspired by traditional chants, harvest dances, and the ritual arts of their ancestors.
In 2025, they released their first self-titled Amis-language album, Masonolay i Cepo’, a bold statement of identity that reinterprets oral history and cultural memory through contemporary rock. The album name translates as: “Every river is a choice; every song is a landing. All eventually flow into the ocean we share.”
The band has earned major recognition, including a Golden Melody Award for Best Indigenous Language Album and international invitations to Primavera Sound (ES), Colours of Ostrava (CZ), SXSW Sydney (AU) and more. Outlet Drift continues to carry the voice of Taiwan’s Indigenous spirit to global stages with their genre-defying sound and powerful presence.
