The encounter between the universe of Brazilian music and Lisbon's song...
Brazilian music is vast, but in this project choro and samba song are the greatest sources of inspiration. Here, one can notice an enormous taste for songs in a minor tone, with a more dramatic slant. With this project, Nani Medeiros and her musicians show that choro and samba-canção can be as melancholic as fado and morna.
Brazilian music is vast, but in this project choro, samba song and morna join fado, in a Travessia (journey) where the repertoire of songs speaks a little of those who choose to transit, cross, change, move, go through a path, let themselves be influenced and move on. Songs of old times, but also of the present time.
Travessia emphasises the similarities and differences between these musical universes.
In this concert, Nani Medeiros (voice) is accompanied by André Dias (Portuguese guitar), Daniel Pinto (bass guitar) and João Pita (9-string guitar).
