This is how this album was born: from an unlikely and inevitable encounter between two artistic languages, two worlds, and two sensibilities that, together, create a new way of expressing fado. After the homonymous EP, released in March, that marked the beginning of this remarkable collaboration, the multi-award-winning Portuguese LINA_ and the Spanish composer and pianist Marco Mezquida now present the complete album O Fado - released on September 26 by Galileo Music - a deeper journey through this emotional geography where tradition and invention embrace each other intimately. It features 12 songs - including originals, revisitations, and discoveries - where fado is heard in new forms, rhythms and profound silences.
A voice that vibrates between tradition and avant-garde, complemented by a piano that does not accompany but dialogues. The result is a truly unforgettable concert.
