The Prix des Musiques d’Ici 2020 and RFI Talent artist presents Nagtaba, a creation album that stands as a call for solidarity and togetherness — an invitation to come closer, understand one another, and build the future collectively.
At its heart lies the woman, symbolizing unity and the power to bring people and differences together.
The project follows the EP Tek La Runda, which encouraged women to take charge of their destiny and uphold deeply humanist values.
Nagtaba is a positive, feminine, and cross-cultural album, shaped by the artist’s inspirations and the many human and artistic encounters along her journey.
Rooted in her Burkinabe heritage yet infused with an urban and modern spirit, she merges traditional rhythms such as warba and wiire with electronic elements to craft her distinctive Afro electro pop sound — also known as electro-pop Faso.
For this project, she invited musicians inspired by her creative universe and her constant search for new horizons and musical fusion.
Each song forms part of a humanistic puzzle expressing her desire to live together in harmony — deep, inspired, and joyful, because, as an Ivorian proverb says:
“It is in fun that we tell the truth.”
