José de los Camarones expands flamenco into new realms—sacred, electric, and poetic. His music fuses flamenco folk, psychedelia, and Andalusian rock with mysticism, rhythm, and deep emotion. Born in Jerez’s San Miguel neighborhood in 1955, José began singing as a seafood vendor along the Guadalete River. His debut album Anclé mi alma (2022) brought national attention, followed by a vibrant tour with his electric band. In 2025, he will release Let’s Venture into Life, blending flamenco, mystical poetry, and psychedelia. A unique figure in contemporary flamenco, he has collaborated with El Canijo de Jerez, Los Estanques, and María del Tango, and earned awards like Melón de Oro and Cante de Minas in La Llagosta.
