Make sure you are part of the European Folk Day this year on or around Monday 23 September.

How can you participate? ?
The possibilities are endless, but here are just a few examples of ways to participate:

· Are you an artist?
- Connect the concept to an in-person event, from a single performance to a festival
- Do something simple to produce, such as recording and publishing a video performing a song that you have never shown to the public before
- Exchanging songs with an artist from another country and recording each other’s songs
- And from now on, you can send us a song for the music repository. Read below to learn more!

· Are you a journalist?
- You can feature a song or an artist in your media, or dedicate the whole day to the topic!
- Curate a radio/television broadcast showcasing music and/or dance by local artists
- Share a curated playlist with your favourite folk pieces

· Are you an enthusiast?
- Post a video or photo tribute of a folk song or dance you like on social media
- Join EFN – The European Folk Network and/or support us with a donation and post it on your social media
- Get together with your family to listen to Europe’s folk and traditional music and post it on your social media

And in any case, let the world know! Post your initiative on the map. Just fill in the simple form, here: https://www.europeanfolkday.eu/participate/ ????

The music repository

We are collecting artists’ favourite songs and tunes from their repertoire in a public repository accesible to the general public and to the media.

How to submit your music? Send us your song or tune in mp3 to media@europeanfolkday.eu. Tell us your name, where the piece is from and a statement that you have the rights and you allow us to share it on the website www.europeanfolkday.eu
