Conference

The WOMEX Conference Programme strives to support creatives, connect the community of music professionals, and provide a platform to share knowledge, enthusiasm, expertise, and solidarity- to network and learn from each other. Experienced peers and special guests share their visions, map out their ideas and lay the foundation for moving the industry forward.

The Programme comprises of Jury selected Conference and Mentoring Sessions, as well as Networking Sessions and Associated Presentations.

Formats Explained  Meet the Speakers 

 

The WOMEX Conference Programme is created based on an annual call for proposals. Our independent, international Jury then chooses the final sessions - jam-packed with veteran speakers and fresh young minds from all sectors of the music industry. Gather pearls of wisdom and musical inspiration throughout the WOMEX days at the Conference Sessions.

Whether you're looking to dive into engaging conversations, acquire new knowledge, or connect with a particular community, our range of session formats (panels, presentations, think tanks, skill-shares etc.) offers diverse opportunities for active participation.

Ask all your burning questions, exchange ideas and get practical tips from our Jury selected mentors, in a 45-minute Roundtable Mentoring Session limited to five participants. Pick their brains about music markets across the globe and get tailor-made career advice.

Please note that slots are very limited and distributed on a first-come, first-serve basis. Registration for the Mentoring Sessions will open closer to the event and be communicated via the newsletter.

Networking Sessions are the home of international networks – many of which have been formed at WOMEX itself. Get together, deliberate, discuss and develop. WOMEX provides a platform for professional networks from all across the globe to meet and connect.

Besides the Jury selected Conference Programme we offer our long-term partners a platform to present their latest project or address burning topics to the wider WOMEX community. Additionally, our 'Specials' are interactive formats where we open space for fresh ideas and input.
