Bengü Beker, one of the rising new voices in Turkish pop music, who made a big breakthrough with her single "Sana Yıldızları Ödediğimden" and the follow-up releases, now meets listeners with her debut album “Bir Yol Bu”, produced once again by Mabel Matiz.
The album consists of 12 tracks, and its lead single—a Turkish pop ballad already on its way to becoming a classic—is “Vaktimiz Dar Sevgilim”. With its layered production, powerful vocals, and striking lyrics, the song reflects the emotional blueprint of the album. Written by Mabel and composed by Mabel and EEI, the track is released alongside a music video directed by Berk Kuruçay.
Mabel Matiz also joins Bengü Beker on vocals in the song “Siyah İncim”. Another standout collaboration is with Selin Geçit, one of the bright stars of Turkish music, who lends her voice to the synth-disco track “Ve Çocuk Dans Etti”. The album also features a re-arranged version of the unforgettable 90s classic “Bu Şarkılar Senin İçin” lyrics by Zeynep Talu, music by Garo Mafyan, and re-arranged by Emre Malikler, as well as “Bu Aşk”, a song co-written by Mete Özgencil and Mabel Matiz.
